News, initiatives, events, key figures... since January 2021 all the highlights of the HEC ecosystem can be found in our new Newsletter. A new monthly appointment to keep up to date with the news from our community: the Association, the Campus, our Clubs around France and the world...
In January 2021, HEC Alumni launched HEC Editions, a new subsidiary whose mission is to develop the Association's media, to take charge of the marketing of advertising space and to establish corporate partnerships. A successful launch with the publication of the quarterly HEC Stories and the launch of new digital formats: new portal hecstories.fr, the L'Entretien HEC and many others to come.
Many of you attended the HEC Alumni Forum in 2021. A two-day meeting on campus for students to prepare for the annual job fair, “Carrefours HEC”.
On the agenda: conferences, speed-mentoring, testimonials, mock interviews and much more!
With a capital S to conjugate HEC in the plural! A new club, alive and kicking, to represent the diversity of its members and to address the issues of diversity and inclusion in an open manner. Events, conferences, debates, sharing of best practice, all formats are good to exchange on language, gender, culture, disability, sexual orientation, non-visible diversities and much more.

In 2021, the Solidarity Fund evolved to offer personalized support to HEC alumni with three levers:

On April 29, 2021, HEC Alumni’s USA West Coast Chapter invited you to the 2nd edition of the Silicon Valley Technology Forum! This online event, broadcast from San Francisco and open to all alumni, focused on "How AI and Data science are going to accelerate creativity and innovation in the new post-Covid digital world?"

In June 2021, during the AGM at Station F, Adrien Couret (H.07) was elected President of HEC Alumni. In his new position, Adrien Couret has adopted the Association’s new Purpose and developed an action plan to bring its new mission to life:

The HEC Geostrategies Club and its partners, the IHEDN Paris IDF Region Auditors' Association, the CIAN (French Council of Investors in Africa) and the Revue Conflits organised the 2nd HEC Geopolitics Conference, on "The African Paradox - Threats and Perspectives".
This meeting at the École Militaire provided an opportunity to discuss and identify the opportunities behind Africa's major challenges.

MBA and EMBA class reunion
Our first 100% virtual class reunion was held on June 5, 2021. Participants, former professors and students, all met online to exchange and celebrate! It was also an opportunity to listen to Hubert Joly (H.81) and Sir Ronald Cohen in a debate on "Impact & Purpose".

In the autumn, we had the honor of welcoming and discussing with Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank (ECB), on the theme "Moving forward: the Euro and the European economy in a changing world".
A return to impact with, on 25 October 2021, the conference of Michael Porter, researcher and professor of corporate strategy at Harvard University, on "Shareholder supremacy to stakeholder optimisation: a new approach to corporate strategy". A talk in collaboration with the Governance Club, to be viewed again and again!
As every year, our community gathered to celebrate those alumni that have passed away. In 2021, we gathered under the Arc de Triomphe for a remembrance ceremony during which the graduates and students present proved their attachment to the memory of our 389 alumni who died for France.

Adrien Couret (H.07), President of HEC Alumni, and Marguerite Gallant (H.03), Executive Director, went to Qatar to meet HEC graduates and celebrate the opening of the HEC Paris Campus in Qatar, as well as the graduation of the classes of 2020 and 2021.
It is always a source of pride to see our community grow!
For its 14th edition, the Trajectoires prize rewarded an HEC auctioneer, Elsa Joly-Malhomme, for her meaningful career and her daring experiences.
